Celanese Asks Court To Dismiss Price-Fixing Charges

Law360, New York (May 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Industrial chemical manufacturer Celanese AG is trying to get out of a long-standing multidistrict antitrust litigation alleging a conspiracy to fix the price of polyester staple fiber, and has filed motions with the court to show that it severed ties with the industry in 1999.
