'Think Big' On Doha Round, World Bank Chief Says

Law360, New York (July 18, 2011, 4:44 PM EDT) -- World Bank Group President Robert B. Zoellick on Monday criticized the U.S. and other major nations for their lack of leadership in the long-stalled Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization talks, calling for decisive action to resolve the impasse.

Zoellick, who was U.S. Trade Representative under President George W. Bush when the Doha Round was launched in 2001, called the lack of progress in the negotiations "deeply disappointing." He said the negotiations represented "a critical juncture in history" where "visionary leadership is needed."
