DLA Piper Can't Rep CTS Committee, Judge Says

Law360, New York (July 18, 2011, 7:16 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge in Florida barred DLA Piper on Monday from representing the creditors committee in trucking company Cargo Transportation Services Inc.’s Chapter 11 case, after a U.S. trustee protested the firm's expense and potential conflicts.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Michael Williamson vacated his own June 23 appointment of DLA Piper as counsel for the official committee of unsecured creditors, siding with U.S. Trustee Donald Walton.
