5th Circ. Lets Federal Off Hook In La. Explosion Deal

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 3:45 PM EDT) -- The Fifth Circuit ruled Tuesday that secondary insurer Federal Insurance Co. had no duty to cover Thomas & Betts Corp. for a $6.2 million settlement in an underlying personal injury suit over a 1999 explosion at a Louisiana processing plant.
