NLRB To Keep 'Open Mind' On Election Rule, Chair Says

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 7:26 PM EDT) -- The National Labor Relations Board wrapped up a two-day hearing Tuesday on a contentious new proposal that would speed up union elections, with members promising to maintain “open minds” as they hammer out a final rule in the coming months.

“It has been most interesting for all of us to hear the diversity of viewpoint, the diversity of experience,” NLRB Chairwoman Wilma B. Liebman said moments before concluding the hearing, which saw testimony from more than 60 speakers.
