Ford Recalls Trucks, SUVs Over Faulty Signal Switch

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 2:27 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 20,000 pickup trucks and SUVs due to a defective switch that may cause the turn signal, tail lights, hazard flashers and brake lights to fail, federal highway safety officials revealed Wednesday.

Ford notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the safety recall on July 7 to address a suspect steering column multifunction switch that was installed in 2011 model year Ford Ranger vehicles built at the Twin Cities assembly plant between Jan. 25 through April 25.
