TNK-BP Investors Win Docs In Fight Over Failed $8B Deal

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT) -- Minority shareholders in BP PLC’s Russian joint venture TNK-BP reportedly won access on Wednesday to critical documents as they pursue multibillion-dollar claims that BP derailed TNK-BP’s bid to replace BP in a failed $8 billion project.

A Russian court granted Andrei Prokhorov and other TNK-BP minority shareholders access to BP documents relating to the venture with state-owned oil company Rosneft, which fell apart in June amid infighting, the Daily Telegraph reported.
