3 Execs Plead Not Guilty In Haiti Teleco FCPA Case

Law360, New York (July 22, 2011, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Two former executives of a Haitian telecommunications company and a stateside consultant pled not guilty in Florida federal court on Wednesday for their alleged roles in a vast bribery and money laundering scheme.

Those who pled were Jean Rene Duperval, a former director of international relations at Telecommunications D’Haiti, also called Haiti Teleco; the state-owned company’s former director general, Patrick Joseph; and Duperval’s sister, Marguerite Grandison, a former telecom consultant in Florida.
