No Sanctions In American’s Noncompete Row: Judge

Law360, New York (July 22, 2011, 7:21 PM EDT) -- A Tennessee federal judge on Friday denied American National Property & Casualty Co.'s request for sanctions against an insurance agency for failing to preserve emails that could be relevant to a breach of contract and trade secrets suit over alleged violations of noncompete obligations.

Judge Aleta A. Trauger said it was clear that American National's July 6 motion for sanctions against Campbell Insurance Inc. and related defendants should be denied as untimely.
