ITC Takes Up Flat-Panel Display, SRAM Cases

Law360, New York (July 22, 2011, 5:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that it had instituted investigations into whether imports of certain static random access memory infringe Cypress Semiconductor Corp.'s patents and whether imported flat-panel display technology violates AU Optronics Corp.'s patents.

Both technology companies had previously lodged complaints urging the ITC to commence investigations of the challenged imports under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
