A&O Workers Get Prison As Co-Founder Seeks Leniency

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 12:09 PM EDT) -- An A&O Resource Management Ltd. co-founder and four other employees were sentenced to up to 15 1/2 years in prison Friday in Virginia for their roles in a $100 million life settlement investment scheme, while another co-founder asked for leniency.

U.S. District Judge Robert E. Payne sentenced A&O co-founder and former owner Brent Oncale, 36, to 10 years in prison and ordered him to pay $102 million in restitution. The judge also sentenced A&O general counsel Russell E. Mackert, 52, to 15 years and eight months...
