NexIdea Sues Med-Lift Over Lift Chairs

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 1:30 PM EDT) -- Canadian health products distributor NexIdea Health Products Ltd. sued Med-Lift & Mobility Inc. in Mississippi on Monday, alleging it violated a contract by selling NexIdea lift chairs that failed shortly after consumers began using them.

NexIdea began receiving customer complaints of major defects in the Med-Lift-made lift chairs in fall 2008, leading to a number of returns, as well as damage to NexIdea's reputation and its bottom line, according to the suit against the Mississippi-based manufacturer.
