Oranto, Anadarko End Fight Over Sierra Leone Drilling

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 4:04 PM EDT) -- Nigerian oil company Oranto Petroleum Ltd. on Monday resolved a suit in Wyoming claiming Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and Repsol Exploracion SA subverted the plaintiff's contractual rights to a valuable drilling area in Sierra Leone.

U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson dismissed the suit with prejudice pursuant to the parties' joint motion Friday notifying the court that they had agreed to end the dispute.
