American National's Trade Secrets Row Heads To Trial

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 8:26 PM EDT) -- A Tennessee federal judge refused Tuesday to reconsider her denial of American National Property & Casualty Co.'s bid for summary judgment in its trade secrets and breach of contract suit against Campbell Insurance Inc., allowing the case's remaining claims to proceed to trial.

In refusing to revive a breach of contract claim against Campbell Insurance CEO Colleen Campbell, Judge Aleta Trauger said there was no “genuine issue of material fact” to support American National’s claim. All attorneys' fees will be determined at trial, which is scheduled...
