China, EU Take X-Ray Duty Dispute To WTO

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 2:45 PM EDT) -- China’s Ministry of Commerce confirmed Wednesday that it would participate in World Trade Organization consultations with the European Union over the legitimacy of anti-dumping duties China has levied on European X-ray security inspection equipment.

China intends to take part in the WTO dispute settlement process, a Chinese trade official said, two days after the trade organization revealed the EU had formally requested the talks.
