AIG Owes Coverage For Maine Builder Mishap: 1st Circ.

Law360, New York (July 28, 2011, 2:03 PM EDT) -- The First Circuit on Wednesday found that an AIG Insurance Co. of Canada policy provided primary coverage for claims against a Maine construction company and its insurer related to a 2007 job site accident, reversing a lower court ruling.

A three-judge panel reached the opposite conclusion of the district court in interpreting “other insurance” clauses spelling out the coverage terms of the overlapping polices at issue.
