Obama Makes Judicial Picks For Fed. Circuit, DC, NY

Law360, New York (July 28, 2011, 8:45 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama made judicial nominations Thursday to the Federal Circuit and district courts in Washington and New York, selecting a U.S. Court of International Trade judge and former prosecutors for the positions.

Judge Evan Jonathan Wallach of the CIT was picked to sit on the Federal Circuit.

In the district courts, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP attorney and former prosecutor Ronnie Abrams will sit on the Southern District of New York. For the D.C. district court, Obama tapped Rudolph Contreras, an assistant U.S. attorney....
