Obama Taps Ex-Debevoise Atty, Others To Key Posts

Law360, New York (August 2, 2011, 4:21 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Tuesday tapped a handful of officials to serve in senior administration posts, among them a former Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner currently serving in the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Tuesday’s nominations come amid an ongoing reshuffling of personnel in the Obama administration.

Among the president's picks is Gregory Woods as general counsel for the U.S. Department of Energy. Woods is the current deputy general counsel at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he has served since 2009.
