ITC Judge Overseeing Kodak’s Camera IP Case Retires

Law360, San Diego (August 3, 2011, 6:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission judge who was ordered to reconsider parts of his ruling that Apple Inc. and Research In Motion Ltd. did not infringe an Eastman Kodak Co. digital camera patent retired Wednesday, sending the review to a fresh judge.

Paul J. Luckern, who had been with the agency as an administrative law judge for nearly three decades and had previously worked as a chemist at Kodak, stepped down after serving as the ITC’s chief administrative law judge since 2008.
