Defamation Suit Against J&J Moved To Federal Court

Law360 (June 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A medical products distributor will make its case that Johnson & Johnson stymied its business by sending out defamatory letters in federal rather than state court, after the defendants filed a notice of removal.

Pharmed Group Corp. originally filed its three-count complaint against defendants including three Johnson & Johnson entities, Ethicon Inc. and LifeScan Inc. on April 27 in circuit court for Miami-Dade County's Eleventh Judicial Circuit, seeking damages for defamation, tortious interference and unfair and deceptive trade practices.
