Parents Fight Lesbian Partner For Cozen Atty's Benefits

Law360, New York (August 4, 2011, 3:51 PM EDT) -- The parents of a deceased Cozen O'Connor PC insurance attorney are fighting her lesbian partner, whom she married in Canada, for a stake in their daughter's death benefits, according to documents filed Monday in Pennsylvania federal court.

Cozen filed the interpleader action in January, seeking a ruling that would require the parents of Sarah Ellyn Farley and her partner, Jennifer J. Tobits, to settle the dispute over the roughly $40,000 in profit-sharing benefits between themselves.
