Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 1:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission adopted final rules related to implementing the whistleblower provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act on May 25, 2011. On Aug. 12, 2011, those rules are set to take effect. The whistleblower provisions of Dodd-Frank have been one of the most highly debated and controversial set of regulations to hit the financial services industry.
