Chevron Dodges Patton Boggs' Interference Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2011, 11:09 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Monday tossed a second suit by Patton Boggs LLP that sought approval to represent a group of Ecuadorean environmental claimants suing Chevron Corp. and accused the oil giant of interfering with the firm's contract with its clients.

U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. granted Chevron's motion to dismiss the suit, saying that his dismissal of the previous case in April precluded Patton Boggs' claims in the current matter.
