BMW's 7 Series Faces Probe Over Rolling Risk

Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 6:43 PM EDT) -- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launched an investigation Friday into BMW of North America LLC luxury sedans after receiving reports of cars rolling away once they were parked.

The probe will cover BMW's 7 Series from model years 2002 to 2008. An estimated 120,000 vehicles may be affected by the alleged defect, the agency said.
