Wyeth, Sandoz Lay Down Swords In Effexor Patent Row

Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 3:27 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. unit Wyeth LLC settled a lawsuit Tuesday that it filed in North Carolina in 2007 over Sandoz Inc.'s bid for regulatory approval to market a generic version of the antidepressant Effexor.

U.S. District Judge James Dever III signed off on a consent order entering final judgment that said the parties had settled the dispute and that all the claims and counterclaims at issue were dismissed without prejudice.
