Interstate Seeks $5M Coverage Refund From Insurers

Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 6:31 PM EDT) -- Interstate Fire & Casualty Co. sued Kluger Peretz Kaplan & Berlin PL and two insurers in Florida federal court on Tuesday, seeking to recover $5 million it tendered to help the firm settle malpractice allegations.

Interstate alleges that KPKB’s policies with Axis Insurance Co. and a unit of The Chubb Corp. hadn’t been exhausted, and should have kicked in to cover the firm in underlying actions.
