China to Publish IP Court Documents Online

Law360, New York (November 5, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a mark of new judicial openness, the Beijing High People's Court is putting all of its intellectual property filings on the internet this week, Chinese state news agency Xinhua said.

An official told the news agency said it was the first time in China or the world that courts had published unabridged judicial files concerning intellectual property rights on the internet.

The filings cover categories such as patents, trademarks, copyright, improper competition and technical contracts.
