LG, Samsung, Others Probed Over Alleged LCD Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 6:23 PM EDT) -- South Korea’s antitrust regulator revealed Thursday that it had uncovered evidence of a price-fixing scheme among LG Display Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and other manufacturers of liquid crystal display panels, according to news reports.

An official with the Korea Fair Trade Commission alleges that South Korean companies Samsung, LG Display and Taiwan-based Chimei Innolux Corp. violated competition law by colluding to fix prices for LCD panels, according to the Wall Street Journal.
