FTC Signs Off On Randstad's $770M SFN Purchase

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Dutch human resources company Randstad Holding NV's proposed purchase of U.S. counterpart SFN Group Inc. for approximately $770 million received a boost Thursday when U.S. antitrust regulators signed off on the deal.

The Federal Trade Commission notified the two companies that it had granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act, meaning the agency has completed its review of the deal and determined that it passed antitrust muster. Randstad and SFN Group still need to get the approval of Canadian competition...
