Ex-Alaska Pol Says Feds Aided 'Pedophile' For Testimony

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 4:01 PM EDT) -- The former Alaska House of Representatives speaker who allegedly took bribes from an oil company asked a federal judge on Wednesday to throw out the case, saying prosecutors helped an alleged pedophile in exchange for his testimony.

Peter Kott, who allegedly took $400,000 in bribes, claims that prosecutors blocked a local sex crimes investigation into Bill Allen, who later became a key witness for the government.
