CIT Affirms Duties For Chinese Paper Co.

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 6:59 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Court of International Trade judge on Thursday affirmed the Commerce Department's review of anti-dumping duties on lined paper from China, rejecting a U.S. trade group's argument that Commerce improperly calculated surrogate financial values for respondent Shanghai Lian Li Paper Products Co. Ltd.

Contrary to the arguments by the Association of American School Paper Suppliers, Judge Evan J. Wallach ruled that Commerce's determination that the data it used was the best available information was supported by the evidence.
