Perfume Maker Targets Victoria's Secret Over Fantasies

Law360, New York (August 12, 2011, 2:04 PM EDT) -- Parfums de Coeur Ltd. hit Victoria's Secret parent Limited Brands Inc. on Thursday with a trademark and unfair competition suit in Connecticut, claiming marks Victoria's Secret uses for its VS Fantasies products are confusingly similar to the plaintiff's marks.

The complaint targets Limited Brands as well as Victoria's Secret Stores Brand Management Inc. and levels federal and common law trademark and unfair competition claims, an unfair trade practices claim under Connecticut law and a claim for interference with prospective business relations.
