High Court Shakes Head At Nucor Appeal

Law360 (June 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a blow to Nucor Corp., the Supreme Court has refused to hear a case involving claims that the steel company violated antitrust laws by outbidding Gulf States Reorganization Group Inc. in a bankruptcy auction.

The U.S. Supreme Court on June 4 denied Nucor's petition for writ of certiorari, filed April 17, giving no reason for its decision not to consider the case.
