Audit Failure Triggers SEC Probe Of A-Power Energy

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 1:43 PM EDT) -- Chinese wind turbine maker A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. said Thursday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission was investigating the company and its executives after its auditor quit and its shares were halted from Nasdaq trading. 

The Shenyang, China-based A-Power, which saw its Nasdaq trading halted June 27 by the exchange, said it received a subpoena Wednesday and was committed to cooperating with the SEC.
