Apple Seeks EU Ban On Galaxy Sales In New Samsung Suit

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 10:03 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. reportedly hit Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. with a suit in the Netherlands on Thursday seeking to ban all European Union sales of Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and tablet computers, opening the latest front in the companies' global patent war.

Apple's complaint filed in The Hague district court targets not only South Korea-based Samsung, but Dutch affiliates Samsung Logistics BV and Samsung Overseas BV, which distribute Samsung products across the EU, according to Dutch technology news website Webwereld.
