Masimo Targets Philips In Latest Blood Device IP Suit

Law360, New York (August 23, 2011, 2:42 PM EDT) -- Masimo Corp. sued Philips Electronics North America Corp. on Friday in Delaware seeking to stop the electronics giant from importing and selling medical monitors that allegedly infringe its patent for measuring blood oxygen levels, the latest in a long-running dispute.

Masimo claims Philips and its health care unit Philips Medizin Systeme Boblingen Gmbh infringed its blood monitor patent by producing, marketing, importing and selling the IntelliVue line of noninvasive pulse oximetry devices.
