Rothstein Cohort Gets 5 Years For Ponzi Plot

Law360, New York (August 24, 2011, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Stephen Caputi, who posed as a banker or settling plaintiff to help now-imprisoned attorney Scott Rothstein fleece investors in a $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme, was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison and told to cough up $29 million in restitution.
