Honeywell Can't Nix Solvay Refrigeration Chemical Patent

Law360, New York (August 26, 2011, 7:34 PM EDT) -- In a case where a court earlier ruled that Honeywell International Inc. infringed a Solvay SA patent covering methods for making a refrigeration chemical, a Delaware federal judge on Friday denied Honeywell's motion for summary judgment that the patent is invalid.

U.S. District Judge Judge Sue L. Robinson, whose previous ruling that the patent was invalid was reversed by the Federal Circuit last year, concluded that there are genuine issues of material fact as to whether the patent is invalid.
