Enviro Group Accuses Paper Co. Of Violating CAA

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 6:20 PM EDT) -- An environmental group sued a Wisconsin-based unit of global paper manufacturer Arjowiggins SAS on Friday in federal court, claiming its factory exceeds federal and state air pollution limits in violation of the Clean Air Act.

Appleton Coated LLC, based in Combined Locks, Wis., has exceeded the air pollution limits on hundreds of occasions since 2006 and has racked up more than 1,000 violations of both its air pollution control permits and CAA regulations, according to the suit lodged in Wisconsin federal court by the Clean Water...
