Microsoft, Others Sued Over Web Publishing Patent

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 5:39 PM EDT) -- A patent-holding company on Friday sued Microsoft Corp., Oracle Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and others in Puerto Rico alleging they violated a patent covering Web-based electronic publishing.

Ingeniador LLC says the infringing companies manufacture and distribute products that directly infringe U.S. Patent Number 6,990,629, issued in 2006 and titled “Publishing system for intranet.” The suit also names Lexmark International Inc., Interwoven Inc. and 11 other companies.
