Patton Boggs Asks DC Circ. To Revive Chevron Row

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- Patton Boggs LLP said Monday it was appealing a Washington federal judge's decision to dismiss its suit accusing Chevron Corp. of sabotaging its ability to represent Ecuadorians who sued the oil giant over alleged environmental contamination in the Amazon.

U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy dismissed the suit Aug. 8, ruling that his rejection of a previous case that Patton Boggs filed against Chevron precluded the current case accusing the oil giant of running a smear campaign that interfered with the firm's work.
