Feds Say Ala. Lobbyist Should Stay Locked Up

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 1:14 PM EDT) -- Alabama federal prosecutors on Tuesday asked a judge to turn down a casino lobbyist's request to be released while he awaits sentencing on charges of bribing elected officials for pro-gambling votes.

Prosecutors said in a court filing that the problems Jarrod Massey faces in presentencing lockup are similar to the problems any convicted criminal face and do not warrant special treatment.
