LCD Makers' Joint Venture May Face Antitrust Scrutiny

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 7:08 PM EDT) -- A plan by Sony Corp., Toshiba Corp. and Hitachi Ltd. to merge their small- and medium-sized display technology businesses could raise red flags for antitrust regulators, experts say, coming as it does on the heels of a $388 million settlement in litigation alleging the trio were players in a wide-ranging LCD price-fixing plot.
