NYMEX, COMEX Need More Compliance Staff: CFTC

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 7:26 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Wednesday criticized the New York Mercantile Exchange and its sister the Commodity Exchange for failing to up their number of compliance staff over a period of time when trading volumes doubled.

The two CME Group Inc. exchanges, which are among the world's most important futures trading markets, need to hire more compliance staff to keep up with potential wrongdoing as trading volumes rise, the CFTC said.
