DuPont Slaps Heraeus With Solar Tech Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 5:32 PM EDT) -- DuPont Co. on Friday sued German precious metal firm Heraeus Holding GmbH in Delaware for allegedly infringing its patent for a conductive paste used to make solar cells.

Dupont claims that the silver paste Heraeus sells and uses to manufacture its own solar panels is protected by U.S. Patent Number 7,767,254, entitling the chemical and engineering giant to a share of its profits and a permanent injunction.
