Commerce Defends Review Of S. Korean Steel Cos.

Law360, San Diego (September 2, 2011, 4:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Thursday asked the U.S. Court of International Trade to reject Nucor Corp.’s argument that the agency erred in its remand results regarding South Korean companies subject to an anti-dumping order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products.

Nucor said that South Korea-based companies Union Steel Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and Pohang Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. should be “collapsed,” or treated as a single entity, and given the same dumping margin, but Commerce urged the court to sustain its findings on remand...
