Rothstein Atty Gets 2 Years For Role In Ponzi Scheme

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 7:59 PM EDT) -- An attorney and former associate of convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein on Friday was sentenced in Florida to two years in prison after pleading guilty in June to duping two clients of now-defunct Rothstein Rosenfeldt and Adler PA.

U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth A. Marra sentenced Howard Kusnick to two years in prison, plus two years of supervised release. Kusnick was also ordered to pay $310,000 in restitution to the two clients he scammed through fake letters purporting to settle a case on their behalf. He...
