Vet Co. Sues Pfizer Over Drug Marketing Practices

Law360, New York (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A veterinarian pharmaceutical company has filed a lawsuit seeking declaratory judgment against Pfizer and a veterinarian supply company, alleging the companies are restraining the sale of its canine skin infection drug.

Maine-based veterinarian pharmaceutical company Putney Inc. filed the lawsuit against Pfizer Inc. and MWI Veterinary Supply Inc. on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. The suit seeks a declaratory judgment and alleges the companies violated the Lanham Act, among other things.
