ICloud Co. Drops Trademark Suit Against Apple

Law360, New York (September 7, 2011, 1:24 PM EDT) -- The company formerly known as iCloud Communications LLC backed off its highly publicized trademark infringement battle with Apple Inc. over the tech giant’s use of the iCloud name for its new product, according to a notice filed last week.

The Phoenix-based communications company voluntarily dismissed its suit with prejudice Sept. 1 in Arizona federal court after it apparently changed the company’s name Aug. 12.

The company will now be known as Clear Digital Communications, according to its Facebook page.
