Five Senate Republicans Criticize Patent Reform

Law360 (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five Republicans in the U.S. Senate wrote a letter on Wednesday criticizing the proposed Patent Reform Act of 2007, raising issues that have plagued the bill from its inception.

The senators—Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Charles Grassley of Iowa, Jon Kyl of Arizona and Sam Brownback of Kansas—asked Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy to delay the committee's markup of the bill, scheduled for June 14.
